“A good football coach takes his love for the game and instills it in you. He molds you into the player he sees inside of you and watches your talent and dedication grow into a skill that both of you can be proud of”. This has always been Mr. Ritchie’s belief which led him to forming his own guiding philosophy “development of the individual to reach their full potential on and off the field of play” since being involved in active football coaching, with his first role as a U16 boys team coach in 2002.

Mr. Ritchie’s coaching education journey started in earnest with a FIFA Women’s Coaching Course in September 2011, in 2013 he completed the CONCACAF D License as one of the first batch of coaches to do this license in the region, then he completed the US E License. In 2014 he was appointed as Head Coach of Academy Jaguars FC competing in the Provo Premier League winning the title in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and again in 2018. In 2014 he was appointed Head Coach of the Turks and Caicos National U20 Men’s Team that competed in the two consecutive CFU U20 tournaments (2014 and 2016). In 2015 his role as part of the coaching staff for the TCI National Men’s Team was that of Assistant Coach.

Mr. Ritchie also completed the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Coaching Course in 2014 as his coaching journey continued. Along with these certified courses, he has also completed a number of none certificate course such as FIFA Futsal Coaching Course and FIFA Advanced Coaching Course until 2016. His certification continued in 2018 when he completed the US D License

In 2017, he was selected by the TCIFA as one of the representatives for the FIFA/CONCACAF Train the Trainers Course where he completed an intensive training. In 2019 he continued his Coach Educators journey by completing the FIFA/CONCACAF Coach Educators Course. Upon completion of this course, he was appointed as Head of Coach Education in the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association in September 2019. Mr. Ritchie’s latest coaching license is the CONCACAF B License.

Most recently he played the role of Assistant Coach on the TCI Girls U14 staff as well as the TCI National Women’s Team staff. Over the last few years he has also performed the role of Fitness Instructor for the Referees Association as well as Technical Instructor for the Referees Association after attending a number of FIFA Futuro III courses since 2017.
