2nd Vice President
Lisa Garland, employed by the Misick and Stanbrook lawfirm since 1995, is one of the company’s longest serving employees. She is currently a senior personal assistant to two of its partners, and manages the firm’s banking and security department. Her role in the firm has grown over the years and she is now an integral part of a closely-knit team that has been together for more than 20 years.
Garland has always been tremendously involved in various sports, but her devotion to football dates all the way back to the year 2000. She would join the Red Star Football Club where she was tasked as team captain for several club competitions. Her strength, discipline and passion for the sport landed her a spot on the TCI Women’s National Team. This brought her a few caps by competing in the first series of national and regional competitions representing the Turks & Caicos Islands, with the most notable being TCIFA’s first-ever international match against the Haiti Tigress in the year 2000, and the Concacaf Women’s World Cup Qualifier in 2010.
In 2004, Garland was appointed to the TCIFA’s Women’s Football Committee, where her member responsibilities included aiding in the promotion of women’s football and the organization of a structured league, and seeking women’s football developmental opportunities. She continued serving on this Committee over the years.
Lisa Garland is TCIFA's 2nd Vice President, and President of the Women's Football League.
