PPL Champions Final

The Champions final lived up to its billing, and served up an epic game of football between two exciting teams which kept the crowd gripped all evening.  Beaches went off like a rocket and were 2-0 up inside 16 minutes with goals from Michael laird and Romaine Smal;l but within sixteen more minutes the Academy had turned it right round to 2-4 with two goals from Burey and one each from Alouidor and Jose Elcius.  With just over half an hour left, Beaches rallied again and came back to 4-4 with goals from Cadet and Petitfrere.  After a frantic but goal-less last half-hour, the score remained at 4-4 and the infamous penalty shoot-out took place with all of the associated drama. In the end, it went to sudden death with the score at 4-4 after five penalties each, but Rammeshe Thompson hit the winning penalty for Beaches, leaving them victorious and the Academy with little to show for their still very good season.
