Postponement of USVISA Invitational Women’s Tournament – St. Croix, USVI, April 5th – 13th 2020

Due to the escalating concerns regarding the spread of the novel Coronavirus COVID-19 and the State of Emergency declared in the United States of America, the U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Association (USVISA), in partnership with the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA), have made the decision to postpone the upcoming USVISA Invitational Women’s Tournament to a date to be agreed by the organizers.

With COVID-19 now classified as a Pandemic, our main concern is for the health, safety, and well-being of all TCIFA players, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders, as well as the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) Community at large. As such, we believe that the possible risks are too great in contracting and therefore spreading novel Coronavirus COVID-19 within the TCI, to al-low the National Women’s Team to travel at this time.
The TCIFA will also continue to adhere to the professional advice of the Ministry of Health, and follow-up on the readiness of the FA to resume activities. Further updates will be provided, as they arise.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
