Concacaf Appoints Damona Taylor and Zekeya Hall to Official Matches
Concacaf welcomes Damona Taylor as the Match Commissioner for the 2022 Concacaf W Qualifier - Trinidad and Tobago vs. Nicaragua. The match will be played in San Fernando at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago, on Thursday February 17th at 4:00pm. This is Taylor’s first appointment in an International Game and comes on the heels of her completing and excelling in the Concacaf’s Match Commissioner Course a few weeks ago. Her duties, which assists in the operation and delivery of competition, will consist of (but are not limited to) ensuring that matches occur per the Concacaf schedule and regulations, resolving any operational or competition matters as necessary, liaising with team representatives and other match officials, providing post-match reports and reporting all inappropriate activities.
Ms. Taylor is a local Match Commissioner in the Turks and Caicos Islands having completed the TCIFA Course conducted a few years ago by FIFA Match Commissioner Patrick Beckles. Her local responsibilities sees her performing Match Commissioner duties at the TCIFA’s Men and Women’s Premier Leagues , as well as local Youth and Senior International Invitational Tournaments. “I am elated to have been appointed a Match Commissioner for the Concacaf W Qualifier. This will be a great learning experience for me, as I have never worked on this scale with this magnitude of responsibility. However, I am committed to execute these duties and responsibilities with zeal, tenacity, and the same integrity and professionalism which I perform all tasks assigned to me. I will do so, making myself, and by extension, The Turks and Caicos Islands proud. Thank you!” said Taylor.
Zekeya Hall received her second appointment to a Concacaf International Tournament. She will assume the role of Venue Coordinator to the 2022 Concacaf Women’s Under 20 Championship, Round 1, which takes place in the Dominican Republic from February 25th to March 5th 2022. The competition will begin with a 16-team group stage split into four groups of four teams, with the top three teams advancing to the knockout stage. Those 12 teams will join the four teams that advanced directly to the knockout round from 2022 CWU20 Qualifying, which took place in September 2021.
As with Ms. Taylor, Ms. Hall is a local match Commissioner and Venue Coordinator in the Turks and Caicos Islands. She is also the assistant to the President and General Secretary of the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association. In response to Hall’s appointment, she commented, “I am honored, excited, and incredibly proud to have been appointed Concacaf Venue Coordinator during the 2022 Concacaf Women's Under 20 Championship. I am pleased and extremely grateful to be afforded the opportunity to represent both the TCIFA and Turks and Caicos Islands on this international football stage and I look forward to learning, growing, and developing further with this experience.”
