TCIFA Hosts Psychological Session for Girls and Women's National Teams
Quite often, mental health and psychology are taboo topics in sports. Having the right mindset in football and the ability to perform under pressure is vitally important.
TCIFA hosted a psychological session for the Women's and Girls National Football players and staff, lead by Clinical Psychologist within the Department of Mental Health of the Turks & Caicos Government, Dr. Anya Malcolm-Gibbs.
Topics such as taking control of confidence levels, team work, managing expectations, focusing on the process, preparing the mind for training and matches, and remaining calm and composed when things don’t go to plan, were discussed.
