Amaro Pereira Donation
Recently, the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) received a generous donation from Amaro Pereira, a repeat guest at Beaches Turks and Caicos. The donation comprised more than one hundred sets of football cleats, shin guards, jerseys, and referee equipment. Notably, Pereira had previously visited in January to make a similar contribution.
Dane Ritchie, the Technical Director, underscored the significant positive impact of this donation. He expressed, "Our grassroots program has experienced a notable increase in participant numbers, thanks to our qualified coaches who impart essential football skills to young individuals of both genders. The children greatly appreciate the exposure and the chance to engage in friendly competition within a secure and supportive environment. These supplies will play a pivotal role in assisting those who may face challenges in acquiring high-quality gear."
As the player base continues to expand, the significance of such donations becomes increasingly evident. Support from from visitors who recognize and value the efforts of the football association is invaluable. It also contributes to empowering young girls and boys through the beautiful game of football. More than a hundred young individuals will have the opportunity to benefit from the gift of new gear, ensuring that financial constraints do not impede their passion for the sport. This act of generosity exemplifies the essence of community and solidarity, illustrating that collective efforts can bring about meaningful change in the lives of budding athletes.
